Accessing the lounge as a Plat, they have never charged me for a guest (aka my wife) for breakfast, snacks, etc.

However, they will allow me to bring in other guests, staying in other rooms or other hotels, and charge a la carte for drinks, etc. This is the same if you use the meeting rooms in the lounge.
