Thanks again everyone for your imput. I just thought I'd update you. The time has come to travel to the funeral. Luckily for me and my family, my husband actually had a vacation scheduled at the same time. Since he will be traveling with us, we will be able to make the drive to the service. I don't like to drive that far by myself with 2 young children. After what I have seen here in the past week, it looks like I won't be taking Amtrak any time soon with my kids either. I get more and more angry about the state of this country and our so called security every day!
