My gf and I have a 8:45P flight next week, PHL-LAX, and we are likely going to be ug'd to F. (Flightstats.com shows F9 for our flight, I am PP and we are now within the CP window.) However, if we can make an earlier flight, we'd like to do so only if we can still sit in F.

When flying alone, my Move-Up strategy when already ug'd to F is: (1) check flightstats.com for F availability on the earlier flight, and if F is available, then (2) get to PHL early in the morning (I live nearby) and Move-Up to the earlier flight in F and go home until later in the day for my new flight.

If my gf and I want to do a Move-Up, will we both need to be present at PHL even if we are on the same PNR? Or can I go to PHL alone and arrange it for both of us?
