The Philadelphia Sheraton Rittenhouse and Westin Philadelphia are within blocks of each other. Both are good. The Westin used to be a Ritz Carlton, then turned to a St. Regis before flying the Westin flag.
The Sheraton Society Hill is also nice. It's in a good area, walking distance from many historic sites.
Just do NOT stay at:
-Sheraton University City(crappy hotel, caters to Univ. of Penn)
-Any of the airport locations (out of the way for sight seeing in Philly)
