I thought I'd use this thread to ask a question about the SLND.

I will be staying there in early September for 7 nights. I can try to guarantee a suite upgrade for about 23,000 points or I can hope that my Plat. Status will get me a similar room for free.

Does anyone have an opinion as to one's chances of a suite upgrade at that property in the first half of September? I won't die in a regular room, so I don't mind taking some chances.

Thanks in advance. For $119/ night it looks like a great deal regardless of the upgrades.
