Did it occur to simply proceed to the nearest chicken to obtain the revised boarding pass for 7102 and circumvent the GA entirely? Seems like you did everything right on the call for re-booking, not sure how the GA statement of "no plane hopping" was relevant...if you have a confirmed seat on the next flight, what does he/she care?
