Just FYI, late checkout is ALSO a published benefit for HHonors members -- ALL members, not just elite. It isn't always available though.

For SPG, it is a published benefit ONLY for Gold and Platinum members.

However, you can always try for late checkout at any hotel or chain, regardless of status or membership in a frequent stay program. Sometimes you'll get it, sometimes not.
