Is New First actually better than Old First?

I have noticed that there has been a lot of discussion on this board recently about people hoping that they will get NF.

However I have always thought that OF looks quite attractive and comfortable when I have gone to explore it when the cabin is empty on the ground at BAH. The seats, carpets and other fittings have always appeared to have been in good condition when I inspected them.

In particular I like the light brown and dark grey colour scheme and, even though it is fake, the wood motif.

I have not flown it yet however. (Hopefully later this year on miles )

The pictures on NF appear to show a more clinical and less warm cabin. Of course the seat is wider when it turns into a bed. But assuming the same cabin condition is the ambience, including lighting, better or worse in NF than current and if worse how do improved aspects of the seat compensate for this?
