Buying BA Miles
Hi
I do see a lot of people buying miles to top up their account. I did some analysis to see what the quantity of miles to be to get the best per mile charge.


If you buy 1000 miles its 3.1 pence a mile 31GBP (corrected based on phils inputs)
if you buy 19000 miles its 1.68 pence a mile 319
If you buy 24000 its 1.66 pence mile 399

All include the 15GBP transfer fee.


Ive seen people sell miles on Ebay and it think its wrong (IMHO) and also against ba rules.. whats more surprising is that they cost much more than buying it from BA directly and legally lol!!!


Wonder if anyone has thoughts on this.
