I really doubt your experience as a 'senior hotelier' (which you seem to imply with your posts over the years)
I gave the Hilton Phuket around 60-80 nights over a 3-4 year period & I was a high spending guest there (spa treatment everyday plus all meals). I stopped staying there over an issue of a $6 fee which the new DOO insists on charging. They are loosing easily 100 room nights from me alone over a 3-5 year period; yes a tiny drop in the ocean for them but not so negligible during periods when occupancy was at 10%.
The loss of a few hundred room nights at the Sheraton Hua Hin is a very conservative figure. If the resort can justify charging BHT100 for use of a glass, I dont know what else they will charge the guests for items that we usually take for granted are free. Will they charge me for a new set of batteries if they tv remote dont work etc etc since the resort is not even embarassed to post a ridiculous charge here.
But you are right, the GM will probably laugh at the posts here. Indian weddings are the bread & butter for the resort, FITs like us are not.
