How to get started!

UPDATE: This exclusive program is NO longer being offered unfortunately. Folks interested may check with AA Customer Service if it is being offered again in the future. It's easy as 1, 2, 3, 4.

(1) Call American Airlines on +1 800 433 7300, assuming you are a top tier elite in a competing airline. AA general reservations line is open 24 hours; however Customer Service and Executive Offices have limited opening hours. Ask to be transferred to AAdvantage Customer Service. Explain that you are seeking Executive Platinum Challenge/Exception. (Total time: 5-10mins)

(2) Wait to receive an e-mail requesting a copy of either your current elite card or online activity statement. (0 Wait time. E-mail is sent instantly whilst you are on the phone with AA Customer Service).

(3) Send the requested info by e-mail/fax. (1-2 mins or longer if you need)

(4) Wait to receive a phone call from someone from the AA Executive Offices and welcome you to the program. You will be offered instant Platinum status and asked to choose when you would like your EXP challenge period to start. (1-5 business days)

It is really that simple! And best of all it is FREE!
