The 145 has it all over the Q400...I've flown many times on both. To summarize:
- 145 has the one-seat side--no shoulder hockey
- 145 is faster and flies higher
- 145 has less noise and vibration than Q400

Since the charge for checked bags, the wait time for bags on a Q is ~50% more then the ERJ. Sometimes it feels like HOURS!
