My iPhone 4 is a 16GB, and in the 'about' section says the capacity is 14GB. I know I have about 10GB of music (more or less 2000 songs) on the thing, and that about 4GB is still available. So that means the system uses more or less 2GB.

Didn't you say earlier that you didn't plan to listen to music on your phone?
