The Audley End thing looks useful, especially if you are travelling on a railcard, however the Ryanair Stansted Express fare is even cheaper at the moment, £16 one way.
Doesn't appear to be a requirement to be flying Ryanair either. (there is possibly an additional booking fee, suitcase charge, ticket printing fee, toilet use fee, etc, hidden in there somewhere, which I haven't spotted!)
