Small point of order - the PPLus card does not get you into any clubs. The card will come with a formal PC membership and its own card, and you'd use that card to enter the club.
But you can still get in without that card since they can look you up with your Photo ID.
Btw - PP club membership paid for itself last night for me. Was flying F and got the shaft on a Colgan Air - mainline connection after doing the Bush Intercontinental Half marathon. I got to the gate 2 min after door closed and GA didn't even look up when I ran to the desk. After dealing with surly service center agents I popped into P club and was taken care of.
