Hi,

I am flying with some elderly friends from Venice to Izmir have been given conflicting info on transit at Istanbul. Are our bags checked through to Izmir or do we need to collect them at Istanbul and recheck them in the domestic terminal. Is a two hour layover in Istanbul enough time to clear immigration and get to the domestic terminal. Flying J class.

For the sake of my sanity.......would I be better rebooking on a Lufthansa flight directly to Izmir via Munich?
