I always try to book any premium award seats right on the 330 day mark and have found this to be very successful. However on trying to snag C or F awards on SYD-SFO/LAX or SFO/LAX-SFO for January/February 2012 I have been having real problems. At the moment at the 330/331 day mark at 3AM I have found UA are only releasing 1 F seat AT MOST and no C seats on these routes.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on?? Certainly I am seeing C/F seats released on other UA SFO/LAX - Asia routes but not SYD. So at the moment Mr pschafer is booked on the one and only F seat which was released for our desired departure and I am holding a SYD-ICN-YVR *A booking in C (Note YVR is our final destination). We would prefer to be on the same flights in C (as we don't think UA F is worth the additional points).
