You claim you know how to use them, but fail to see why they are essential to ensuring your purchases are correctly tracked? Affiliate links are driven by cookies, and using these features of their respective browsers is the easiest way to ensure that your purchase cannot possibly be tracked to another affiliate.
I suppose you could manually clear out your cookies, but it's hardly the easiest option. I think it's safe to say that most complaints about improper tracking could be
easily avoided.
