Whilst tending to prefer LX over AF (although I rarely take either of them in C) I just want to express a word of caution here, especially on the comparison of the SFO-CDG vs. the HKG-ZRH flight. The SFO-CDG flight is on the 747-400, about as crappy as AF can get in terms of hard product, and probably not representative of the "average" Air France longhaul experience in C. Especially on seats and IFE.

The other thing to watch out for is the different departure time of those flights. Food offering may not be the same for a flight that leaves late night and arrives early morning local times (HKG-ZRH: 23h59+06h10) vs a flight that leaves mid-afternoon and arrives next morning (SFO-CDG: 15h35+11h35).

All the other comparisons are fair I believe and it's refreshing to see that someone seems to disagree with something that had starting to look like conventional wisdom ("LX better than AF"). Although I personally still prefer LX over AF, with the exception of the style/friendliness of Air France's FAs which LX has never ever beaten on any of the hundreds of flights I have taken with them. Other than that, give me LX over AF any day and give me ZRH over CDG any day. But that's just me.
