The Windsor is in a huge old colonial era mansion. Very English feel on the outside, lots of whitewashed walls.

I was there before Christmas, and had a pretty pleasant stay. By some chance I was booked in the Towers wing - so my Gold card was not of much use. There is a seperate check in for Towers with fairly frendly staff - slightly snooty as I turned up in jeans and t-shirt! The room was a decent size if a little outdated, but had a strong smell of a/c - a musty odour I find a bit offputing.

Service in the hotel was generally good, and they strive for a high standard, as was born out by the ALMIGHTY rollocking a member of staff got for not having cleaned a table properly. The highlight for me was having dinner at the Afghan restaurant sat by the pool. I had the most fantastic leg of lamb - wonderful.

All in all not a bad property - better than the Taj in Mumbai, but not as hot as the Oberoi in Delhi (which was $50 per night cheaper). I'd be happy to stay at the Windsor again, but might think about the Oberoi.
