Upgraded to Hilton executive floor - not worth it

Hi....just checked into a regular Hilton in Atlanta for the first time since making Gold status. Even though my preference online said I wanted an upgrade vs. 1000 bonus points - I still had to ask. Front desk person was very sweet...no issues with that. But, the worst part is that there is no discernible difference between this room and the regular rooms. It is on the top (executive) floor, and there is an executive lounge. I get a free breakfast with my rate anyway, so the lounge is useless. Oh - there is one difference that I noticed with the room - the bath mat was cushier. Seriously - that is all I noticed. Maybe it is just this property? I have already changed my VIP preference online to get the 1000 points bonus instead of the upgraded room.

Anyone else notice this where you have stayed?
