Well, I have not stayed much at SPG this year but I am reminded why SPG is a great program - it seems each of the hotel programs has terrific attributes and I will be sorry to not make plat w/ SPG next year.

One day after booking a $127 pound "double" "run of house" I am no longer able to access the details of my reservation online, and a call to the plat line indicates I have already been upgraded and confirmed to a specific room, which is a King corner room, non smoking (as requested but not available at time of reservation), executive floor.

I guess that pretty much settles my choice. We'll try the Langham next time and thanks to both of you for the input.
