lintemut...I think what skofarrell is saying is that you can no longer get direct to the Major Disney Parks from Downtown Disney via the Disney bus network. They used to run direct buses on these routes, but they have stopped doing so (which I can confirm having returned just 2 days ago).

The only way to do that now, is to take a bus from Downtown Disney to one of the Disney Resort Hotel properties, and then change there for a theme park. This is a major hassle and very time consuming. Especially so if your timing is off.

If you are "off-property" a rental car is now definitely the way to go if you value your time, IMHO.
