Actually, the stay requirements were raised because of feedback we got from our Platinum members - online and offline.

It was actually going to be done in 2002 (following when it was lowered for 2001), but the tragic events of 9/11/01 delayed it from taking fruition until this year.

Before someone asks, I have no idea how many actual Platinum members there are and even if I could find someone that did, they would probably not let me share that information here.
