Folks,

I have DL Gold status and last week was booked on a Alaska flight (codeshare with Delta). When I got to the gate, I found that I was not even on the upgrade list though I had checked-in 24 hrs before. I asked the gate agent on whether Alaska does not do automatic upgrades for DL customers and she said that you have to call or ask at the gate to be added to the upgrade list. Now, after getting to the gate it is already too late since they have cleared silver level etc. I was wondering if anyone has faced this issue / successfully been upgraded on Alaska after buying a DL ticket with DL metal. Any other thoughts?
