The Wisp is not designed as a toothbrush replacement, even though it looks like one. Think of it more as a breath mint. This from my dad, the dentist. Though it is admittedly better at removing plaque than a breath mint.

I just throw my toothbrush in my toiletries bag (which my dad calls a "dopp kit" for some reason). I flick excess moisture off it first.

The human mouth has more bacteria than any other part of the body - the average mouth has something like 100 million individual bacteria at any given time. But, as my instructor said once during my month-long hiking trip through the backcountry of the Yukon, after he picked up a piece of food that had fallen on the ground and eaten it, "If it were that easy, we'd all be dead by now." Bacteria are an unavoidable part of life on Earth. We evolved to deal with them quite well.
