Last night I had a flight from DFW to SCL that was delayed until 7 AM this morning. At the airport we received a 10 dollars voucher for meals and drinks for the night, that was the beginning of the diet.
Next morning after we took off, about 8 am, we were given what the flight attendant described as a "light breakfast", which consisted of a croissant, a yogurt and a cup of coffee, nothing else. There was no more food in the plane for the next 8 hours!!!. We were basically left without lunch. Only when the plane was reaching its final destination we were served what I considered a "light supper". Who needs Jenny Craig if you have AA?
This is terrible. BUT it is not AA's usual service. You normally would hvae had a full dinner ex-DFW followed by the continental breakfast before landing in SCL which is on par with similar flights on other airlines. (admittedly, if you were flying EK, SQ, etc. the quantity/quality would be better but you still would have been fully fed on AA). Its like AA rejiggered for the daylight flight here without really thinking....
