Many of us here on FT are on multi-month stays, typically checking in Sun/Mon and out Thur/Fri. I've been doing it for 18 months in New York.

Right off the bat, I was able to negotiate with the W New York GM a *very* good rate that has only been offered on the web site on light weekends. The Waldorf=Astoria revenue manager was also happy to offer an ongoing rate that was steady and below typically offered rates on the web, or even to my company. Those two have been my home-away-from home and I'm very happy that I have the ability to bounce between the two(HHonors is my 2nd program of choice)

So, you need to get right to the decision maker. Start with the GM, who will undoubtedly pass it down to a revenue manager, but at least you then have both their ears. See what the hotel weekend rates are and see if that's closer to what you'd like to pay.
