Oh, i did register her for the free night for 2 paid night stays, limit 2 free nights offer.
What I would do is after you have the reservations in the Marriott system, and your girlfriend can see them in her Marriott account, to then call customer service and ask for the platinum challenge, where you stay 18 nights and get platinum status for the year. She would have platinum status right away, and have the 50% bonus on points.
Next, tell her to sign up for the Marriott Premier credit card from Chase. Sign up for the 50,000 point bonus, not the 30,000 point bonus. You can either google for the link or it's here on Flyertalk somewhere.
Then pay for the hotel stays using the Marriott credit card, and you'll get 20 points per dollar spent (10 normall + 5 for 50% bonus on points + 5 for credit card).
And sign up for the Megabonus promotion as well. That should take care of it.
