SEA-AUS is here to stay and is a good route. Here are the DOT O&D Pax sizes for AUS markets (YE3Q10).
SJC: 198.2...pax per day, each way (PDEW)...hence the reason we added 2x, but why it isn't a 2 carrier market. The market peaked at 361 back in 2Q06...the dot bust, was pretty busty.
PDX: 113.2 PDEW...no it isn't big enough for a non-stop...we only capture about 40-50% of the market with a non-stop. MAYBE seasonally.
SEA: 223.2 PDEW...this one does have potential for 2x someday. At least through the Peak season.
