Yes. The other lesson is to stand your ground during the "bumping" process. I was tired and slightly perplexed when it happened, and wasn't prepared because I didn't even think that it was a possibility.
I think that I just about broke-even on the whole experience, if it happened again I would try and squeeze them for more points or an extra free night.
