I have not flown international BE since Nov (GVA), but when I checked in moments ago for tomorrow's flights (OKC-DTW-JFK-ATH), one of the pages was titled "Here is the status of your upgrade requests".

That made me curious because I never pay $3K for an M fare without confirming BE segments at the time of purchase. The SWUs have shown as closed for weeks. When I purchase online, I see the checked box about requesting upgrades but did not worry about it.

Is this a new feature to confirm all is well before getting to the airport? I would understand such for a domestic sLUT fare but not international M.
