Great news! I'm so glad your bag was found. And too, am baffled how someone can make such a mistake like that! I fly quite a bit and have never taken someone else's bag by mistake and we've never had a dropped tag on an International flight either.

The CX agents in SFO told my husband that someone most likely took his bag by mistake because there was a passenger on the same flight who checked in 11 bags and only retrieved 10 bags. They were not helpful at all, going to the extent of saying that they could not get in contact with CX baggage in Hong Kong because the department was closed for the night?! What a blatant lie!

Well, ours didn't end quite well after all. When I returned from SIN, I checked the bag (I packed it) and found that my husband's Burberry shirt is missing and the weirdest thing - so are the personalized baggage tag, and SQ Solitaire/PPS tag! Why would anyone steal the tags, I cannot understand. I am still waiting for a callback from CX agents in SF. It's been 96 hours since a request for a follow-up was initiated.
