Asia Airpass
Hi everyone,
I'm looking at doing a bit of traveling around Asia. Specifically, I am mostly going to Thailand, but I'd like to have a bit of time in Seoul and Hong Kong. I'm looking at the SQ flights SFO-ICN and HKG-SFO. The problem is, I want to go ICN-BKK-HKG, but the fares are super-expensive, I assume b/c they are open jaw. So, I'm thinking perhaps of doing an Asian Airpass fare. It seems I need at least 3 segments, so I would do ICN-BKK-CNX-HKG, with I believe CNX-HKG being two segments.
I have three questions:
1. Who do I call to get one of these? I called both SQ and UA and they said they don't book them.
2. Any idea what the fare might be around? I tried doing it online via the Star Alliance tool, and I got something that said add additional person for $550. But it also said that it would send it to their fare desk to price. Is this $550 about what it will cost? And is availability of these basically impossible?
3. Are there better ways to book this sort of travel? It doesn't have to be *A, although I'd prefer "reputable" airlines.
Thanks all.
