I checked into the 4 Points Austin tonight, and after seeing my assigned room, I just left the hotel and decided to throw that money in the garbage. The hotel staff was very nice when I checked in, but I have seen nicer Motel 6's. The room was supposedly newly renovated, but I am not sure what the renovation included. The bathroom counter had names and other graffiti carved into it, the sheets on the bed did not look clean, the bathroom floor and counter had hair on them, the carpeting was stained in numerous places, etc. I didn't feel like dealing with the problems at the front desk, so I just left the hotel. I guess I will call them in the morning to check out.

I am sorry that this is the only Starwood hotel in Austin, I will be staying in Austin quite a bit, so I guess I will be earning Hilton or Hyatt points.
