DC-MLL mailing received today annoucing the following change to the member agreement effective Feb 1/02:

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Charges made in a foreign currency: If you incur a Charge in a foreign currency, we will convert the Charge into Canadian dollars at the conversion rate in effect on the day we process the Charge, plus 2% of the converted amount. Amounts converted by common carriers, such as airlines, will be billed at the rates the carriers use for conversion, plus 2% of the converted amount </font>
This increase from 1% effectively negates the mileage accumulation benefit, as stated above by MoreMiles (for CIBC Aerogold).
