What's up with the NE this winter? This is the 3rd travel waiver for the region, right? I really lucked out that my scheduled travels were the weekends following the waivers.

UA has been very quick to cancel flight before snowstorms are actually confirmed. Any insight on this apparently new policy of cancelling flights proactively --even in cases where the weather turns out not to be a major problem in the end?
