It depends. If your dad is DM he should be pretty savvy about this, but this benefit derives its timing from the year in which that particular gift was earned. If he's using a 2011 or 2012 Choice Benefit, then you will have GM status until the end of Feb in 2012 or 2013, respectively. If he is using a 2010 benefit, you only have a few days of status left.
