To further muddy the waters, WHICH COMPANIES (IF ANY) HAVE DEALS THAT ARE STACKABLE WITH COUPONS? Of particular interest would be coupons/discounts applying to weekly rentals that could be as little as 5 days.

Last year I was able to fly one-way ATL-PBI for $74.70 a-i on DL the Thursday of Memorial Day weekend, renting from Alamo there for 5 days dropping in ATL. After applying a weekly coupon & discount to it the all-in total for the car rent was $31.90 (I think it was a Ford Focus, if memory serves).

Could be they've gone to greater lengths to keep that from happening again (in PBI I made sure to use the kiosk and minimize human contact). Haven't been able to get anything to stack with DRV5 for Hertz, but then again my expectations are lower at $5 vs. $19.95.

BTW, some airports like TPA and PBI have much lower tax loads than others like FLL or MIA.
