Really? I find the portions larger on Delta than AA or UA. Service more personal with the smaller cabin and real AVOD instead of the portable units.

Not to mention the aging AA 767s and poor bin space and as noted superior Delta crews.

Would like to see them change up the menu more often and make the chicken entrees more biz elite like.

But overall I prefer it to AA and UA.

Last I spoke to someone internally this route has become very profitable and the mandate is "don't ruin something that's working well"
The reason I prefer AA and UA is because I usually get F on 3-class transcon flights. I definitely prefer DL's crews over AA's, but on p.s. flights, UA's crews have been the best of the three. Another thing to consider is that even in J, AA and UA offer menus, the quality of the entrees have been significantly better than the DL transcon J ones, and you get decent quality ice cream that actually tastes like ice cream. Plus, you can't beat leg room of row 9 in U.A. p.s. business. On the other hand, in terms of pax/crew ratio in trascon business, DL defeats both AA and UA:

AA (767-200)
30 pax, 2 crew = 1:15

DL (757-200 E/international version)
16 pax, 2 crew = 1:8

UA (p.s. 757-200)
26 pax, 2 crew = 1:13
