I highly recommend the Westin at Grand Cayman. Admittedly, I've never been to Cabo but I can say that the Westin has the best beach and at this point in time, the best hotel on the island. Water is so blue, the sand is clean, and Westin have their own beach-service (wait staff, chairs, towels)They also have a cool pool with swim-up bars. Grand Cayman Island is also perfect for scuba and snorkelling. Grand Cayman is much more-americanized. This is definitely not a third-world island. My boyfriend and I stayed here and have made a habit to go back every Feb.
