In the past, the UK has evacuated non-citizens claiming links to the UK but this was abused horrendously in recent times with fake documents, etc... being used to secure passage on evacuation flights to the UK where asylum claims were subsequently made. There are a number of human trafficking groups that "specialise" in using evacuation flights to move their traffic. I would not be surprised to see this loophole closed soon if not already. Sad for the sake of those legitimate spouses who will also suffer as a result.
