My 'childhood memories' sandwich - strong chedder on store bought bread (for real retro it should be brown bread as white bread was a swear word in our house, but given we often have sliced white now, either works) with salt and vinegar crisps (ideally, but sadly, rarely, Walkers) in the sandwich (school lunchbox-tastic )
My 'not entirely a sandwich' sandwich - cheese on toast (grilled cheese sandwiches have a less desirable ooey gooey cheese to bread ratio, and the cheese doesn't bubble properly when it is on the inside) with some heinz ketchup.
