Have you actually looked for EZE availability? This is usually one of the hardest routes to get and over Christmas I would imagine it to be especially difficult unless you booked a year out.
That would be my reaction too, but having just done a quick check I was surprised to find a couple of J seats on 20th & 24th. Not that I expect them to last now
