Should a family of 4 pay to pre-book Y seats - to avoid being split up?
Travelling SFO-LHR-SFO in Y at the end of march for a week.

Have two under-6 kids.

Apparently they will assign our seats 3 days prior.

Does anyone have any good/bad experiences of this system?

Would be expensive to pre book for all of us in both directions.
