New Balance stores have interesting inventory. I like the little socks made for runners that barely come up out of your shoes as they don't cause blisters or sores in hot weather, but the whole line of socks is interesting.

I was trying to think of the funny towels I pack along. The tv ad 'Shamwow!' thing. They take an amazing amount of water out of laundry and weight very little. They are always dry before my clothes are completely dry.

I've studied Rick Steves methods and have learned a lot from him. I used to travel with about a 60 pound checked bag back in the days when it cost nothing to do so. Those days are long gone and I can no longer lift a bag that heavy into my car. I can go around the world now on a small RedOxx carry on and a larger RedOxx bag, usually checking the larger one. I know I could carry on the larger RedOxx bag, but I'm a small person and look like a bag with legs when going through airports. An old bag with legs! The total weight of all my bags is 35 pounds.
