As much as I feel the posters frustration of not being able to book a room
this is a two fold situation here
First this is a special event which IMO frees Starwood from it's promise
Second the hotel is in a highly compromised business/legal situation that is very difficult to navigate till all matters get settled
Based on the facts one has to be reasonable under the unique circumstances
I hope there is a plan B or other available options available for pansted00
