To a certain extend true, however:

"HiltonHHonors Gold" members do not get lounge access "comped systematically" but get lounge access only when a Gold member is on executive floor. This might better work in US destination where lounge means a pay bar and crappy fast food. It is, however, more difficult in Europe and Asia to get upgraded to executuve floor.

"Holiday Inn Platinum" members get lounge access when being on Club Floor in Crowne Plazas and Holiday Inns (if there is any). In general, no member (with the exception of RAs at certain IC hotels) gets IC Club Access for free but only (i) if bought seperately or (ii) if staying on Club IC Floor.
