"If you can find a way to use your DL miles that is the way to go. But check out the DL thread and you'll see that DL miles are nearly impossible to use internationally, esp Asia."

That has been my experience also. Thanks for everyone's help. Will try to use my AA miles and look into BA trades. Any additional suggestions about trades will be welcome. Best wishes,
