Anytime I have flown PHL/CLT-LAX/SFO the flights have been packed to the gills, I think US is just trying to capitialize on popular routes.

It is interesting that UA runs 6 flights daily from JFK-LAX as part of the PS service. Obviously US relies more on connecting traffic than UA does from JFK but impressive nonetheless.
